Our Villagers are professionally screened and vetted to qualify for participation in our programs, and to be accepted, they must understand and agree to a set of rules (we prefer to think of them as common sense guidelines) — which if broken repeatedly or egregiously, will result in removal from the program and the premises.
Dear Villager:
You have chosen to enter our program and live within this community. You have chosen to live in an environment that is alcohol and drug-free. The following rules promote a cooperative and supportive environment:
- Possession, use, or sale of alcohol or drugs is prohibited and cause for dismissal from the program.
- Violence, threats, or abusive language are grounds for removal from the program
- Participation in the weekly house meeting on Tuesday at 5:00 is required.
- Residents are expected to keep the house clean, neat, and safe.
- Residents are expected to keep their bedrooms clean and neat.
- Smoking is not permitted in your bedroom at any time; smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas.
- All residents must be home by 10 pm. Arrangements can be made for those working past 10:00.
- NO guests are allowed without prior approval.
- Residents are expected to be good neighbors, not just “non-disturbing” neighbors.
- If you are gone for more than 48 hours without prior approval, this will result in losing your privilege to stay in the program.
- Your room must be cleaned by the staff twice a week; a Resiliency Village Navigator will conduct a bedroom check twice a week. While being cleaned, you may not be in the room.
- You are financially responsible for any damage to your room, including furniture and fixtures. You will also be responsible for any additional fees for smoking or extra cleaning charges.
- If you are not able to administer your own prescription drugs, one of our case managers will assist you with monitoring and dispensing of your medication. Your medication must be in your possession or stored in your locked room.
Animal policy for villagers: Dogs only. One dog per room, with permission only, and only in pet-friendly rooms. Pets cannot be left unattended in rooms and are not allowed on beds or other furniture. Pets must be leashed and in the control of the resident. Do not tie your pet to a post or other objects. Villagers are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets must be friendly and not exhibit aggressive behavior. The resident must be in control of his or her pet at all times. All pets must be vaccinated, including distemper, parvo, and rabies. Dogs must be spayed and neutered.
